Product description

A compact charging station for electric vehicles with multiple internet connectivity options. The station supports the OCPP 1.6 protocol, which allows for integration with operator platforms.

The smallest charging station on the market!

The EVPoint EV7 (EV7-C5T1) is a truly special charging station. Its small size makes it an easy and convenient solution for charging electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids in both home and public environments.

The successful use of this Bulgarian-made charging station in public conditions makes it one of the most sought-after chargers for hotels, office buildings, shopping centers, and car showrooms.

This is not your typical charging station

Adding electrical energy to a vehicle's battery charge is the primary task of any station. However, with software development, more and more convenient features are being added to chargers, simplifying daily charging and proper monitoring of all processes.

The EV7 is exactly such a modern device. Thanks to its built-in internet connectivity (GSM, Wi-Fi, and Ethernet), the station allows for remote control and real-time monitoring from the comfort of the EVPoint mobile application. The internet connection also enables remote receipt of updates that improve device operation, as well as online diagnostics in case of a problem or malfunction. The station itself has its own web interface for setup, monitoring, and diagnostics.

Through the supported OCPP 1.6 protocol, the station can be connected to any platform that uses the same protocol. This is particularly important when using the station for public access. Operator platforms, such as evpoint.bg, provide the ability to access and manage your stations, as well as charge fees for customer recharges.

Intelligent charge scheduling

The internet connectivity capabilities of the stationary station allow for intelligent scheduling of your charges, with processes able to be set to operate during hours when electricity is at a lower price/tariff.

From the comfort of your smartphone and thanks to the EVPoint mobile application, you can set the minimum and maximum electricity you wish to charge, the time range during which the process should run, and save a daily schedule so that you don't have to constantly enter the desired parameters.

Through the mobile application, the station will fulfill your set requirements, ensuring maximum efficiency for every charge with the EV7 station.

Charging speed selection

The charging rate can also be controlled. The single-phase charging station can charge at an amperage you specify, up to 32 A - 7.4 kW. Given the widely used single-phase onboard chargers in electric vehicles currently on the market, the EV7 stands out as one of the best-optimized chargers in terms of functionality and charging capabilities.

Thanks to its compact size, the station can also be used as a portable charger, and the option to select charging power allows for adjustment according to the optimal characteristics of the electrical power source.

When installed in a public location where other smart stations are present, the EVPoint EV7 can monitor current consumption and regulate the charging power of all devices to prevent network overload, while ensuring the process is not interrupted. This feature is known as Dynamic Load Management.

Electric vehicle 3.7 kW 7.4 kW
HYUNDAI IONIQ ELECTRIC (28 kWh) 7.5 hours 4 hours
PEUGEOT E-208 (47.5 kWh) 13 hours

BMW I3 USA (42.2 kWh) 11 hours 5.5 hours
SKODA ENYAQ IV (52 kWh) 14 hours 7 hours

Real-time charging monitoring

A convenient feature of the EVPoint mobile application in combination with the charging station is the ability to remotely monitor charging in real time. This way, you can see the current power, change pre-set parameters, or stop charging if necessary.

Charging history

Every charge initiated through the application is recorded and stored in your charging history. From this section, you can generate statistics for a specific period and analyze the electricity consumption used for the vehicle from your home.

RFID and Plug & Charge

If you use the charger for public charging, you can enable the option to start charging via an RFID card. This way, anyone with a specially programmed card for your station will have access to it.

For home use, or if the station is installed in a location to which only you have access, the device can be set to "Plug & Charge" mode – you connect the cable, and charging begins.

LED indicator

The round colored LED indicator provides information about the charging status. Through it, you can get an idea of whether the station is ready for use, is successfully charging, or has a problem and should not be used.

Protections and safety

Some stationary charging stations require the installation of additional devices to ensure safe charging, which in turn can increase the cost of the project.

With EVPoint EV7, the installation of such protections is not necessary. The station has a built-in residual current device that takes care of problems when they arise.

CT Clamp - intelligent power distribution to avoid network overload

The EVPoint CT Clamp function allows electrical appliances and the charging station to operate simultaneously without overloading the network.

How does it actually work?

Through the installation of a sensor in the central electrical panel, the EVPoint EV7 charging station receives real-time data on the current consumption of the household/object. If the network limit is, for example, 30 kW, and at a given moment other consumers are using 27 kW of electrical energy, the charging station will receive this information and adapt the charging according to the available power. With a reduced consumption of 20 kW, the station will again start charging your electric vehicle at the maximum 7.4 kW.

This way, it is impossible for the network to be overloaded as a result of charging the electric vehicle.
